Booking requests
are date stamped and processed in order of receipt with
deposit, subject to the following conditions and priorities:
1) Booking
requests received before 25 February were treated
as though received on 25 February **.
2) Until 16 March priority applied to Preferential
Booking System (PBS) participants, as set out further
below in more detail.
3) For the period 22 June to 19 September, only 7
day Saturday to Saturday and 6 day Sunday
to Saturday bookings can be initially confirmed.
If booking requests for the popular 4-20 July School
Holiday period are particularly heavy, the directors
may also decide to reduce the maximum booking period
to 5 or 6 nights. Refer to the Rate
Schedule for more details on booking period restrictions.
4) Every effort is made to accommodate first preferences
but this is not always possible as our lease is for
25 beds (including managers). So please ensure that
your booking request includes details of alternative
preferences that will assist the Booking Coordinator
in allocating you a suitable booking period. Your
booking request will be confirmed (or otherwise) as
soon as is practical. There may be some delays whilst
the Booking Coordinator discusses options with members
and guests whose first priority is over booked. If
necessary, we conduct a ballot for equal priority
bookings. Your deposit is not banked until the booking
is confirmed.

Booking System (PBS) Entitlements and Priorities go
to Top
Note that PBS participant
booking entitlements are suspended whilst any membership
fees or levies are outstanding.
Also, a participant's entitlements can be used by his/her
spouse, or by his/her immediate children aged under
21.
Unaccompanied children aged over age 21 would need to
book as "Friends Using PBS Entitlements" (see
below).
PBS
Participant Initial Entitlements and Priorities go
to Top
PBS participants are entitled
to initial preferential booking at member rates of 14
nights accommodation per PBS participation for the participant
and accompanying guests. A family which has two Class
1 or three Class 2 PBS participations is entitled to
initial preferential booking at member rates of 7 nights
accommodation in respect of each parent and each child
aged up to age 18.
- PBS
Class 1 Initial
Preferential Priority booking requests
received up to 16 March take
priority over all other bookings.
All other booking requests are held until 17 March.
- PBS Class 2
and other booking requests
are then allocated and confirmed from
17 March in the following order ** :
PBS
Class 2 Initial Preferential Booking Priority Entitlements go
to Top
PBS
Class 2
initial preferential priority
booking requests plus the immediate children
(aged 18 and under) of families which have just one
Class 1 PBS participation. [Under the PBS Rules, whilst
these children rank with Class 2 participants, they
are charged non-member guest rates.]
PBS
Further Member Entitlements go
to Top
PBS participants
are entitled to book further
accommodation (in
excess of initial entitlements) for themselves and accompanying
guests. One person per participation per night is at
member rates, with any remainder being at non-member
guest rates.
Friends
Using PBS Initial Entitlements go
to Top
PBS participants
who have not used all their initial PBS entitlements
may nominate friends to use their entitlements (unaccompanied
by the participant). The rates for these "Friends
Using PBS Entitlements"
are mid-way between the member rates and the full non-member
guest rates.
Non-member
guest bookings go
to Top
Non-member guest booking requests are allocated after
the above requests. Any requests for group bookings
for 14 or more (would usually only be available in Low
and Value periods and if no other bookings) are also
considered by the directors from 24 March onwards.
