  After a slow start in June and very early July, 2008 really was a bumper season.
  Most Perisher Blue lifts were open till mid-September 2008, but snow cover then diminished
  with the last Perisher lift closing at the end of Sunday 5 October 2008.

  August 2007 was fantastic, with great conditions continuing into September and October.
  Sadly, Perisher Blue closed all lifts after 1 October 2007 even though there was still plenty of snow.
  2007 got off to a great start on Friday 8 June and just kept getting better almost every day till well into August.
  Most lifts were open by the second  week of July, with all lifts by mid-July, with more snow than there was the whole of the 2006 season.

  2006 was a relatively poor snow season which was saved and extended due to snowmaking.
  On Front Valley, the Village 8 Express opened on Thursday 8 June and each day till Monday 2 October.

  2005 was a really good snow season with several lifts open until Monday 3 October 2005.

  2004 was a great snow season with Perisher ski lifts remaining open until 10 October 2004.
  On Front Valley, the Village 8 Express was open until 5.30pm each day from September until 10 October.
  Southern Cross was open until 14 October for Cross Country enthusiasts.
